It’s now adorned with colorful stickers put on by his children. Clint also arranged to get wood from houses that were being demolished around town. The Harps ended up renting the former Habitat for Humanity cabinet workshop on North 15th Street, and Clint began making furniture there from wood he obtained from a variety of sources. Some was used wood that factories were preparing to throw away or burn. Other wood came from discarded pallets used to secure materials on for shipping. As for his personal life, Clint is still married to his adoring wife, Kelly Harp, with whom he shares kids Holland, Camille and Hudson.

The Gaines renovated the house, bringing back amazing wood floors and designing a kitchen in which anyone would love to cook. Clint put his touches on the house by crafting a gorgeous front door, kitchen island, and staircase. You can read more about the renovation and see before and after pictures HERE. The store was filled with Clint Harp originals, including his signature candlesticks, along with lots of other home decor items curated by Clint’s wife, Kelly. “My idea (for the business) was to build furniture out of reclaimed wood,” Clint said, noting that recycled wood was not only environmentally beneficial, but much less costly to obtain than wood purchased from a lumber store.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and kids. Whether traveling, or hanging out at home- if I’m with my family, I’m happy. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to partner with Chip and Joanna Gaines on Fixer Upper and the DIY network on shows including Wood Work and Against the Grain. Now, we are proud to be working with the Magnolia Network on Restoration Road with Clint Harp. It is a joy to be able to show you who we are and what we do, and if you’ve been following us for a while, we sincerely hope that you’ve enjoyed watching us grow as craftsmen and as a company.

Clint’s grandfather, an experienced homebuilder in Georgia, had nurtured his grandson’s love of woodworking, and as an adult Clint had taught himself to build furniture in his garage. In 2011, he and Kelly finally agreed that he should quit his sales job and then figure out a way to pursue his dream of making furniture. On the other, this is an exciting step forward into what HDC might become next. And when we know what that is, we’ll certainly let you know. But for now, we’re going to focus on all the things that give us the most joy, like continuing to make my show, Restoration Road, for the Magnolia Network,” according to the statement.

Harp, who rose to fame in 2013 on HGTV's "Fixer Upper," and his wife, Kelly, said Friday, Jan. 20 will be the company's last day of operation. "Sad to say goodbye to something you love & been so successful at but know there are great things ahead for you & your family!! Good luck," writes one fan on the post. Clint and Kelly Harp, made famous by the HGTV show "Fixer Upper" made the "sad and difficult decision" letting fans and the community know why in a social media post.

If I could get Clint to build me anything, it would be a unique wooden vase or bowl. His skill and ease on the lathe is something I admire and maybe even envy a little bit. My mouth waters just thinking about the giant T-bone steak from Doe's Eat Place in Little Rock, AR. "Creating doesn’t just have to be furniture—it can be a TV show, a podcast, a book, or any other thing that might spark me," Harp said.

An important element of the Harp’s business mentioned at length on their website () is the couple’s desire to give back to their community. When he is able, Clint will build a bed or table and donate it to a local charity to give to a family in need. Clint and his sole employee, former Habitat for Humanity carpenter Britt Duke, a native of Gilmer, make each piece of furniture by hand. The hotel is designed with most of its public spaces outside; the restaurant lacks four complete walls, the adjacent bar has two walls made of sliding glass doors, and the building hallways are outdoors (but covered). There is also another beachside bar area where guests can sip frozen drinks, order from the main restaurant, or lounge in the sand. The hotel's marketing heavily references "The Beach House Movement" -- its guidelines to help guests relax as much as possible. (No socks allowed. Leave your cell phone in your room.) An Oklahoma man faces up to 12 years in prison on a Caribbean island after customs officials found ammunition in his luggage.

“Never in a million years could we imagine that an honest mistake like this could lead to the absolute torture our family is going through now,” she said. A Watson family friend told NewsNation that both Valerie and Ryan Watson were happy about the accelerated pace at which the case is moving, noting there are other Americans who have been accused of similar crimes and are still awaiting justice. Valerie Watson, who just returned home to the U.S., told NewsNation that she can’t believe this is happening. She said it has been a hard transition, especially since their kids have questioned where their dad is and when he will be home.

Hagerich was on a family vacation with his wife and two young children but has now been in the country for 70 days. Beach House is part of the Turks and Caicos Collection group of resorts, which includes four luxury all-inclusive resorts in the Turks and Caicos. The restaurant is also more than happy to accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions, although some need more notice than others. Guests can also choose to have their breakfast, lunch, or dinner from Beach House Restaurant served on the Dune Terrace. While beach views are best here, if you are concerned about the property's slightly thin walls, be sure to ask for a corner unit where you have fewer neighbors. As design leaders, design directors have a wide base of technical knowledge and guide staff through an array of complicated design problems. Many design directors first complete their bachelor’s in fine arts, graphic design, marketing or a related field before starting in an entry-level role, such as graphic designer. They can then work their way up to a senior designer position before moving on to an art director role or directly into a design director role.

Design Director positions will vary within companies and every industry will attribute different responsibilities to this role. Some Design Director positions will combine user experience design responsibilities with visual design responsibilities for this position and will usually use the word “experience” somewhere in the job title. Many Design Directors have worked with five or more companies over the course of ten or more years before landing a Director position. Many Design Directors are hired based on who they’ve worked for and their references there. If you can establish a good rapport with your management or boss at these stepping-stone positions, ask them to leave a review for you on LinkedIn - that’s a major advantage. You’ll need to network for a Design Director job if you don’t plan on getting promoted from within a company you’re already working for.

The number of students who look disabled has plummeted, yet the number of disabled students enrolling in universities has soared. “We see disability as a social construction, very much the same way as race, gender and sexuality are constructed,” he said. Yet for the 21-year-old leukemia survivor and thousands of other disabled students across the University of California and California State University systems, the program is a critical victory in a decades-long battle for visibility and recognition. His first marriage to Sasha Czack resulted in the birth of two children.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has said that Moore was the intended target but hasn’t publicly identified a motive yet.

That’s due in part to the growing rates of autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in young people. But it also reflects the different legal landscape for disability rights in universities. Many see the current surge in interest in disability studies as part of a sea change sweeping their discipline, and the student populations they serve. “The core of disability studies has been in social sciences and humanities, so it’s a little awkward when it depends on the patronage of professional schools,” Brune said. This fall, San Francisco State became just the second CSU school to inaugurate a disability studies minor. UC schools have fared better, starting with the first disability studies minor in the system at Berkeley in 2003.

So, how much money is Sylvester Stallone worth, you ask? According to industry sources, the actor is worth a whopping $400 million as of 2019. Stallone measures in at 5’10”, which ironically, is a lot shorter than many would naturally assume for the actor with the bigger-than-life personality and classic rough and tough-guy charm. Stallone was actually born in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York and it was during his time in this area that he worked as a struggling writer and actor, eventually writing the screenplay for his 1976 hit film Rocky after staying up for three days straight. Stallone also owned the adjacent property, which he sold along with the main house in 2011 for a huge loss – $4.2 million. Our best bet is he sold it to a developer, given what the Google Maps view looks like now.

The Hammer is also showing paintings from Mr. Wash’s teardrop series. Each portrait — of public figures such as Obama and Michael Jackson, along with fellow prison inmates — features robust tears rolling down the subjects’ cheeks. Tiny figures and narrative vignettes appear inside the teardrops. Re-creating the work as a free man was a vastly different experience, Mr. Wash said.

About two months after their dash to Las Vegas, the Stahls decided to drive up to this mystery spot and have a look around. They found themselves gawping at the entirety of Los Angeles spread out below in a grid that went on for an eternity or two. While they stood there, the owner of the lot rolled up. In the kismet-filled conversation that followed, Buck agreed to buy the barren one-eighth-acre lot for $13,500, with $100 down and the seller maintaining the mortgage until the Stahls paid it off. On that site, they would construct Case Study House #22, designed by Pierre Koenig, arguably the most famous of all the houses in the famous Case Study program that Arts & Architecture magazine initiated in 1945.

In the work, Mondaine’s enlarged, disembodied head floats in an overcast sky alongside his grandson’s head. Below is the Kansas City grocery store, Beas, that Mondaine owned. He even painted the interior of the store — shelving, stacked merchandise and a register — then painted over it, tinting the building’s windows so the inside is barely visible. The work hangs in the Hammer Museum in Westwood as part of the “Made in L.A.” biennial. Mr. Wash lost track of the painting while he was incarcerated, created a replica of it last year for the biennial, then found the original in Kansas City, Mo., in May.

She said she’s terrified that her husband is facing 12 years in prison for something they say was an honest mistake. Plus, she explained that the ammunition wasn’t even caught by the Transportation Security Administration before their flight out of the U.S. Airport authorities claimed to have found ammunition in Ryan Watson’s carry-on luggage. He called it a “bonehead mistake” and one that was accidental, but a new law has him facing up to a dozen years in prison.

It has been a very difficult process for her to navigate as her kids process their emotions, she said. Ryan Watson was granted bail Wednesday but is being forced to remain in Turks and Caicos away from his wife and children. "Their two young children, Van and Ellie, need their parents home without delay. Mr. and Mrs. Watson would never intentionally break the law. Again, they are unwavering in moral character, reliable neighbors, and devoted community members." But in February, a court of appeal ordered that all offenders be given at least the minimum sentence of 12 years in prison.

Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands

And if you've forgotten sunscreen or want a to buy a gift for someone, there is a small boutique on-site in the lobby area. An excellent feature of stays at the Providenciales Turks and Caicos Collection resorts is that guests staying at any one site may freely access the amenities and dining of the other two hotels. As all three resorts are all-inclusive, this provides a wide range of restaurants, and three varying beach settings. The 21 suites are amongst the most generously sized rooms of all Turks and Caicos resorts, ranging from 1,150 sq ft to 1,580 sq ft for the one and two bedroom suites. Our Beach House Restaurant is the only one out of all the luxury hotels in Turks and Caicos that is renowned for its French contemporary cuisine with a lovely twist of Turks and Caicos. Our restaurant is ideally suited for romantic dinners for two and large events alike.

It may also be worth considering the similarly priced Point Grace, which also offers big luxury suites on Grace Bay. Beach House is on Grace Bay beach, but just west of the main tourist area, right near the transition to The Bight beach (known for its snorkeling). This gives guests a quiet atmosphere, but proximity to bars, restaurants, resorts, and shops. It also just a few minutes' drive from the Thursday night Island Fish Fry held in Bight Park where locals and tourists alike gather to taste dishes from local vendors, sip rum punch, mingle, and listen to live music. The airport is around a 20-minute drive, and other areas of interest for tourists can be reached within a five- to 10-minute drive. A car is recommended as there is not much in easy walking distance from the hotel.

The Pods provide guests with a sense of "home on the beach" as well as a private haven for intimate relaxation and beachfront dining. The property features a spa, non-motorized water sports, bar and restaurant as well as a boutique. Beach House Turks and Caicos also provides the ideal locale for weddings, corporate group buyouts and intimate retreats, as well as incentive-driven getaways. Please read the rate description information carefully and contact us if you have any questions about what’s included in the room rate. We don’t believe any other hotels in Turks and Caicos are quite as committed to creating such a blissful atmosphere as we are, from the dining table to the deck to the beach and beyond. Ashley Hagerich told NewsNation that it’s been difficult at home while her husband has been stuck in Turks and Caicos. She’s even taken a step back from work to take care of their kids and balance their schedules.

Dining and Bars at the Beach House

The Beach House is located on the western side of the Bight community, and close to the Turtle Cove region. Both restaurants at the Beach House have bars, and the resort’s Smoothie Bar creates gourmet smoothies from fresh ingredients. Bathrooms are contemporary and have large bottles of quality toiletries, but may have low-light situations. There are plenty of fluffy towels, bathrobes, and slippers (adorned with fresh hibiscus flowers) available, and the shower has a cute wooden stool hanging out in the corner. Bedrooms have white wicker furniture, comfortable beds with quality bedding, iPod docking alarm clocks, and stylish orange and white fabric headboards, but sliding glass closet doors are a tad dated. From the road, Beach House Turks & Caicos sits behind a short perimeter wall.

Room Service

A stay here will also keep guests close to attractions including Provo Golf Club, Regent Village shopping center, and access to an array of water sports, rentals, and guided tours. Valerie Watson hugged her children for the first time in weeks on Tuesday, but her husband, Ryan, remains stuck on the islands after a vacation turned into a nightmare. Valerie said she and Ryan went to Turks and Caicos for a 40th birthday celebration, and they were supposed to come home on Friday, April 12. All of the 21 suites at Beach House has in-room check-in, and none of them are given numbers. The suites have upscale and sophisticated decor, and the color palette of white, blue, and orange mimics the colors found on the beach (the orange is for the sun).

It's got a quaint vibe, with a pale yellow exterior and white shuttered windows. The tropical garden grounds are lush, with lizards scattering across the pathways, flowers blooming from the bushes, and green plants everywhere. The setting (and adults-only policy) makes it easy to immediately relax and switch to vacation mode.

Because the sprawling property (from parking lot to beach) only has 21 units, there is little chance of crowds, even at full capacity, and this creates a very private vibe. Compared to many other (and larger) properties on the island, the Beach House pool is small, but it works. It's possible to hear the restaurant music (island-inspired twists on popular Top 40 hits) from its cushioned loungers and small, covered gazebo, but the volume is not loud enough to be invasive. King-size suites lie either side of the great room, each featuring pitched roofs, modern bathrooms and sliding glass doors onto the veranda. A third bedroom on the lower ground floor, furnished with a twin bunk over a queen-size bed and a cosy seating area, is ideal for a family with a young child, or a couple seeking a little extra privacy. Set a little further back from the sea than most properties, on a pristine stretch of Grace Bay Beach, Hawksbill Beach House enjoys privacy and exceptional views of aquamarine seas.
